Presenting a new exhibition with sculptures and paintings by Judith Paisley and Jo Darvall.

Darvall celebrates the artistic career of the late Helen Grey-Smith, alongside the sculptures of

CAAWA's 2017 award winner, ceramicist Judith Paisley.

Together through sculpture and painting, Paisley and Darvall bring light to Helen Grey-Smith's

belief that works of art should be able to stand without explanation.

It was both exciting and very rewarding to see the exhibition all set up. The artwork worked very well together. The gallery itself has an incredibly warm and inviting atmosphere and the owners and staff are passionate, sensitive and very welcoming. Sandy's selection of staff, is a reflection of her commitment to quality and genuine service with passion. Sandy herself is an artist so her knowledge and understanding of the arts comes through in her presentation and discussions with clients and perspective buyers.

As an artist, I have a great deal of respect for Sandy, for her sensitivity and treatment of each artist. Always mindful of their individuality, their creative personas and their varying sense of place in the art world. The pairing for exhibitions is always very thoughtfully considered.

I am both delighted and honoured, to be a part of the family of artists to be exhibiting at and represented by The Studio Gallery. It has been a highly successful and most enjoyable association.

I look forward hopefully to a long and continued affiliation.
